The government of Punjab has issued directives to the officials of Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Nankana Sahib with an instruction to transfer records of concerned private housing societies to the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).

LDA has regained its authority to approve private housing projects and land use conversion cases. The Government has authorized the LDA to resume its operations related to the land use and approval of private housing projects within the Lahore division until further notice.

The local government and Community development (LG&CD) also instructed administrators and chief officers of the dissolved local governments in the Lahore division to comply with the cabinet decision and transfer of records on land use and other privately held housing societies.
